Dr Judy Murty: 
After getting married in August 1974 we lived in a number of towns with Air Force bases like Grimsby where Dr Sarah Hughes was born in 1977 and Valley (Anglesey Wales) where Peter Murty was born in 1981; but we spent most of those 35 years in York. I retired in 2005 and lived in York until 2017.

 

Judy was very proud of her children especially as both excelled at University and gained post graduate qualifications. Indeed I was the only one in the family with only 1 degree! Peter Murty gaining a BSc & MSc and Sarah Hughes a BSc and a PhD. Judy also gained a Masters in Medical Ethics and the Law. They all put my simple BSc in its palce at the bottom of the pile.

Judy was a Doctor who worked throughout the North Yorkshire Area until she retired in 2008. She was a well-established, very experienced, extremely well qualified consummate medical professional.
